Relação da infecção por citomegalovírus, alteração de pressão arterial, e marcadores oxidativos em adolescentes

Resumo

A adolescência é um período considerado crítico para o desenvolvimento de fatores de risco para doenças cardiovasculares (DCV), devido a diversas mudanças hormonais e comportamentais que podem influenciar a saúde cardiovascular do indivíduo. Um dos principais fatores de risco para o desenvolvimento de DCV é a hipertensão arterial sistêmica (HAS), cuja prevalência pode variar de 1% a 10% nos adolescentes, dependendo da região. Esse quadro pode ser agravado quando associado a infecções virais, como a causada por citomegalovírus. Diante do exposto, nosso objetivo foi verificar a associação entre a infecção por citomegalovírus e a alteração da pressão arterial e estresse oxidativo em adolescentes. Métodos: o estudo foi desenvolvido em uma escola pública de Sinop-MT. Foram incluídos 33 adolescentes na faixa etária de 14 e 16 anos, onde foi aferido a pressão arterial, aplicado um questionário com informações de histórico de saúde e socioeconômicas e realizada a coleta de sangue. Nas amostras de sangue, foi realizado a dosagem do anticorpo IgG e IgM para CMV e a avaliação do estresse oxidativo por meio dos testes de catalase, proteínas carboniladas, GST (glutationa S-transferase) e SOD (superóxido dismutase). Os dados foram tabulados e analisados pelo programa Graph Pad Instat 8 avaliando a correlação entre CMV, pressão arterial, sobrepeso e estresse oxidativo na adolescência. Resultados: das 33 amostras analisadas 72,7% (n=24) eram do sexo feminino, 15,1% (n=5) dos adolescentes estavam com sobrepeso, e 18,1% (n=6) apresentaram alteração na pressão arterial. Em relação a dosagem de anticorpos específicos para CMV, 18,1% (n=6) tinham IgM positivo para CMV e 91% (n=30) possuem IgG positivo para CMV. Conclusões: diante desses resultados, sugerimos que os adolescentes estudados apresentaram uma alta prevalência de infecção passada por CMV, sendo que a alta concentração de anticorpos pode estar diretamente relacionada a presença do vírus, o qual contribui com a diminuição da defesa antioxidante e alterações metabólicas descritas nessa população.
