Abstract

Morphological polyethism and foraging behavior of N. corniger demonstrate an interaction between chemical, physical, morphological, and ecological factors in the regulation of social behavior. In this sense, the present study aimed to review aspects of polyethism, the morphology of soldiers and workers, and the foraging behavior of N. corniger, which are fundamental to understanding its basic biology, and also for the development of sustainable management strategies in areas impacted by infestation by this termite.
