Aproveitamento de subprodutos da biomassa da cana-de-açúcar: potencial tecnológico na bioeconomia e transição energética

O bagaço de cana-de-açúcar é amplamente utilizado na cogeração de energia nas usinas sucroenergéticas brasileiras, gerando, como subprodutos, fuligem e cinzas com elevado potencial de aproveitamento. Este estudo tem como objetivo realizar uma revisão bibliográfica qualitativa sobre a formação, composição química e possibilidades de reaproveitamento da fuligem resultante da queima do bagaço, à luz dos princípios da bioeconomia e da transição energética. A busca foi conduzida na base ScienceDirect e em documentos técnicos, considerando publicações entre 2020 e 2025 que abordassem usos sustentáveis desses resíduos. Os dados foram organizados por temas e analisados interpretativamente. Os resultados apontam que a fuligem, composta por partículas finas ricas em carbono amorfo, pode ser convertida em nanomateriais (como nanotubos e grafeno), adsorventes ambientais, pigmentos industriais e aditivos para cimento. As cinzas, por sua vez, apresentam viabilidade como corretivos de solo e insumos para materiais à base de carbono. Conclui-se que os subprodutos da queima do bagaço devem ser tratados como recursos estratégicos em uma abordagem circular, promovendo inovação, sustentabilidade industrial e redução da dependência de insumos fósseis. O aproveitamento desses resíduos fortalece o conceito de biorrefinaria e contribui para uma matriz energética mais limpa e resiliente.
