Displasia renal em cão - relato de caso

A displasia renal é uma doença hereditária ou congênita causadora de nefropatia crônica em indivíduos jovens. Os sinais clínicos relacionam – se a insuficiência renal crônica e incluem anorexia, letárgia, poliúria, vômitos intensos e emagrecimento. O diagnóstico é realizado por meio de exames laboratoriais e de imagem. O tratamento é geralmente, conservativo e sintomático. O prognóstico depende da gravidade da displasia. Contudo, geralmente o animal vem a óbito em alguns meses. O objetivo desse trabalho foi relatar o caso clínico de um paciente canino, macho, da raça American Bully, não castrado, de sete meses que foi diagnosticado com displasia renal.
