A relação entre a lombalgia e os isquiotibias na literatura atual

A lombalgia pode ser definida como dor, sensação de tensão ou rigidez localizada embaixo das costelas marginais e acima da prega glútea inferior ou referida na altura da cintura pélvica. Sua etiologia pode ser variada, como anormalidades vasculares, irregularidades na neuromodulação dolorosa e fatores psicossociais, com possibilidade dos músculos isquiotibiais, responsáveis pelo movimento de flexão do joelho e extensão do quadril, serem contribuintes para sua patogênese. Dessa forma, o objetivo deste artigo foi revisar a literatura atual sobre a associação entre lombalgia e os músculos isquiotibiais. A revisão teve como base estudos publicados nas plataformas PubMed e Portal Regional da BVS nos últimos cinco anos – período entre 2018 e 2023. A maioria dos estudos encontrados apontam uma correlação positiva para a associação, enfatizando a influência de seu encurtamento e assimetria isquiotibial, como contribuintes para a patogênese, intensidade álgica e limitações funcionais. Com demonstração da relação nos mais diversos grupos, desde crianças a atletas. Modalidades terapêuticas como alongamentos e fortalecimentos musculares foram impactantes para a analgesia. A técnica recente de agulhamento seco é terapeuticamente promissora, embora mais análises sejam necessárias para maior grau de evidência. Assim, faz-se imprescindível a avaliação das técnicas intervencionistas a fim de comparar seus impactos na lombalgia e cotidiano dos pacientes, como analgesia, qualidade de vida e funcionalidade
