Análise epidemiológica dos óbitos por doença inflamatória dos órgãos pélvicos femininos no Brasil entre 2013 e 2022

A doença inflamatória pélvica (DIP) é uma síndrome que afeta predominantemente mulheres em idade reprodutiva, pode causar dor pélvica crônica e infertilidade. O objetivo do presente estudo foi fazer um levantamento epidemiológico dos óbitos por DIP notificados no Brasil. Estudo ecológico, de série temporal, de abordagem quantitativa e de natureza descritiva com dados do DATASUS entre 2013 e 2022. Foram coletadas as variáveis: etnia, faixa etária, local do óbito, estado da ocorrência e causa segundo a CID (N70 a N77). Durante o período estudado 2163 mulheres morreram decorrente de algum tipo de DIP. A maioria (51,2%) possuía entre 50 e 79 anos. O ambiente hospitalar foi onde ocorreram 90,8% dos casos. Com relação à cor da pele, mulheres brancas foram as mais afetadas (46,4%). Houve registro em todos os estados brasileiros, sendo que 16 deles apresentaram um resultado crescente. A taxa de mortalidade por DIP no país foi de 1,06 óbitos cem mil habitantes no Brasil e em 10 estados a taxa foi superior a nacional. Com relação à causa, os dados revelaram que o maior número de óbitos (853) se deu pela “N73 - Outras Doenças Inflamatórias Pélvicas Femininas”, a qual representou 39,5% do total. Foi possível notar que 77,4% dos óbitos foram notificados em CID cujo nome inclui a palavra “outro” ou “não especificada” o que remete preocupação quanto ao correto diagnóstico empregado.
