The hepatozoon is a parasite of the subphylum apicomplexa, which infects numerous animal species, and causes a disease called hepatozoonosis. The present report aims to present the laboratory finding of the protozoan in an ocelot (Leopardus pardalis) treated at the veterinary hospital of UFMT on the Sinop campus, as well as to report the hematological and biochemical parameters found. The transmitting agent and pathogenesis are still not well defined, and there are no reports of associated clinical and hematological signs in wild cats. The ocelot was found in the municipality of Confresa with suspicion of being run over or injured by a projectile, and rescued by SEMA, underwent sedation for evaluation and complementary exams. The diagnosis of hepatozoonosis was made through the phlogistic layer, where gamonts of the genus were found inside neutrophils.
