Vaginal leiomyoma is a benign mesenchymal neoplasm, rare in female dogs, and associated with hormonal influence, especially in middle-aged to older intact females. The current study aims to report a case of vaginal leiomyoma in an eight-yar-old Poodle presenting dyschezia for approximately two months. Ultrasonographic examinations initially indicated a mass in the uterine body; however, during exploratory laparotomy, the uterus was found to be intact, and the mass was encapsulated within the vaginal mucosa, attached to the pelvic floor. Fine-needle aspiration cytology was inconclusive, requiring surgical resection of the mass and ovariohysterectomy. The definitive diagnosis was confirmed through histopathological analysis, characterizing the tumor as vaginal leiomyoma. Complete removal of the neoplasm, combined with spaying, provided a favorable prognosis. This case highlights the importance of clinical evaluation, imaging, and surgical approaches in the diagnosis and treatment of this neoplasm.
