Objective: to investigate the knowledge of marketers in the municipal market of Oiapoque-AP about leptospirosis. Method: this is a descriptive, quantitative study, carried out with fairgrounds from the municipal market in the municipality of Oiapoque-AP. Follow-ups about leptospirosis were applied. The sample was not probabilistic. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics. Results: A total of 30 stallholders participated. They reported not hearing rodent noises, not accumulating debris around the fair, garbage collected by the city hall and using treated water. They declared to know the pathology, its form of transmission, its vector and the main prevention measures. Conclusion: There are gaps in the knowledge of the stallholders regarding leptospirosis. It is known that health education actions together with community participation are resolving methods that could contribute to disease prevention.
