This study investigates the antioxidant potential and chemical composition of Rhamnidium elaeocarpum extracts. The purpose was to evaluate the bioactive properties of the plant’s ethanolic extract and identify the key compounds responsible for its effects. The methods involved the preparation of ethanolic extracts followed by assays to measure antioxidant activity, including DPPH radical scavenging, ABTS assay, and lipid peroxidation inhibition. The extract was also analyzed for its phytochemical composition through chromatography techniques. The results showed that the ethanolic extract exhibited significant antioxidant activity, with high radical scavenging capacity and strong inhibition of lipid peroxidation. Major bioactive compounds, including flavonoids and sterols, were identified, which are likely responsible for the observed effects.
