Controllership maturity in heavy-vehicle dealerships in Rondonópolis, Mato Grosso

This study assessed controllership maturity in heavy-vehicle dealerships in Rondonópolis, Mato Grosso, Brazil. An applied, quantitative, and descriptive survey used non-probability convenience sampling. A 20-item, five-point questionnaire examined organizational structure, managerial processes, managerial information, information technology, and organizational integration/culture. The results dataset contains six dealerships, although one section of the source monograph mentions five participants. Three firms scored 5.0 and were classified as optimized, two scored 4.0 and were classified as managed, and one scored 3.0 and was classified as defined. The overall mean was 4.33, the median was 4.50, and the sample standard deviation was 0.82. Under the thresholds reported in the method, the sector mean corresponds to the managed level rather than an intermediate category between managed and optimized. All five dimensions had the same mean of 4.33 because each company received an identical score across every block, preventing dimension-specific strengths or weaknesses from being distinguished. The findings suggest formalized practices and relevant use of managerial information, but interpretation is constrained by the small convenience sample, self-reported responses, and unavailable item-level data.
