Analysis of process teaching and learning on fungi in the textbooks of High School

Considering education as one of the factor in health promoting, it must be emphasized the importance of education, highlighting the influence of the teacher as well as the use of textbooks. The objective of this research was to analyze and assess the content of high school textbooks in concepts and information that bring about mycology. A total of 12 biology textbooks for high school were analyzed, eight single-volume books featuring the whole program for three years of high school and four book series corresponding to the second year of high school. There is a better approach along the additions, but it is always necessary to build new tools for teaching mycology.
