The global crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the world in many ways, especially health systems, especially in less developed countries. In this sense, studies have shown differences in the perception of health services and how the pandemic has affected populations based on their sociodemographic profile and the environment in which individuals are inserted. This study aimed to evaluate access and level of trust in health services among the population of settlers in the municipalities of Juara and Sinop in Mato Grosso, Brazil. 101 residents of settlements were interviewed using the COVID-19 Social Thermometer questionnaire. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 22 software, and descriptive and chi-square analyses were performed to compare trust in health services between municipalities. It was observed that most of the settler population in these cities use the Unified Health System. In addition, the majority demonstrated that they trust Primary Health Care services more than others. Furthermore, when comparing the level of trust in the health system between the municipalities of Sinop and Juara, residents of the settlement in Juara trust the health services, while those in Sinop distrust them.
